These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of haustech.com (the "Site"), operated by Haustech ("Haustech," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
These Terms cover the website only. Design, installation, programming, and service work is governed by a separate written proposal and contract signed by you and Haustech.
About Haustech
Haustech is a residential audio-video and smart home integration company serving the Westside of Los Angeles. We are a licensed California contractor, CSLB License #976916. Our office is at 401-415 Santa Monica Blvd #411B, Santa Monica, CA 90401.
Use of the Site
You may use the Site for lawful purposes to learn about our services and contact us. You agree not to:

Consultations, proposals, and estimates
Submitting a consultation request does not create a contract. Any pricing, timelines, or system descriptions on the Site or in an initial conversation are general and may change based on a site visit and a written proposal. Only a signed proposal or agreement commits Haustech to perform work, and that document, not these Terms, governs the project.
Product availability, specifications, and manufacturer features described on the Site are subject to change by the manufacturer without notice.
How we share information
We share personal information only with:

Service providers that help us run the business, such as our website host (Wix), email and scheduling tools, proposal software, and payment processors. They may use your information only to provide services to us.

Project partners such as architects, builders, designers, or electricians working on your project, when you ask us to coordinate with them.

Legal and safety recipients when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Haustech, our clients, or others.

A successor if Haustech is sold or merged, in which case your information would transfer with the business.
Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, photographs, project galleries, graphics, logos, and the Haustech name, are owned by Haustech or used with permission and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction, distribution, or modification requires our written consent.
Product names, logos, and brands shown on the Site (for example Control4, Savant, Lutron, Josh.ai, Sonos, Trinnov, and Ubiquiti) are trademarks of their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply endorsement of Haustech by those companies, or of those companies by Haustech, beyond any dealer or partner relationship we state.
Project photos and client privacy
Photographs of completed projects are shown with the consent of the homeowner. We do not publish client names, street addresses, or security system details. If you are a client and would like a photo removed, contact us and we will remove it.
Third-party links and content
The Site may link to manufacturer sites, social media, review platforms, and other third-party sites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, products, or privacy practices. Links are provided for convenience only.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep the Site accurate and online but do not warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that information on it is complete or current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Haustech disclaims all warranties regarding the Site, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
This disclaimer applies to the Site only. Warranties for installed equipment and workmanship are set out in your project agreement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Haustech and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Haustech from any claims, damages, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information through the Site and is incorporated into these Terms.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us and attempt in good faith to resolve the matter informally for at least 30 days.
Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on the Site with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Haustech regarding the Site.
